We worked on both the architecture and interiors for the d Hotel, the first of a series of designs for the new Monogram Hotel group. Our awareness of hotel design allowed us to focus on creating a complete branded package for the group.
In the hotel our design focused on maximising the river frontage. The majority of the rooms have river views. The hotel is central to the creation of the riverfront walkway and the permeability of the Scotch Hall development.
The 108-bedroom D hotel features cool, clean and contemporary facade with crisp, bright interiors. The luxurious spaces and quality of service surpasses anything currently on offer in the northeast of the country. The reception area with its copper facade is fully glazed with a gold plaster feature wall and white minimalist leather furnishings.
The hotel’s restaurant, bar and lounge open onto riverside terraces and feature bespoke furnishings, leather walls, feature fireplaces as well as a delightful touch in the form of a unique sea horse tank. 70 sq m penthouse suites on the top level offer magnificent views over the Boyne Valley and beyond. With 6 conference and meeting suites the d hotel will open up a new hospitality opportunity for Drogheda.
