Late in 2004 Primark (also known as Penneys in The Republic Of Ireland) invited Douglas Wallace to join a team of consultants to assist to provide Project Managers to roll out their very aggressive and successful expansion plans. In Ireland Douglas Wallace also provided the interior Architecture on a number of sites. In 2005 the roll out commenced with a series of re-fits of their existing stores. Late in 2005 Primark acquired the Littlewoods chain of stores, and in 2006 stripped them back to grey boxes and completely re-fitted the stores including lifts & escalators. To date we have Project Managed over 24 sites in the UK and Ireland. Douglas Wallace has been instrumental in adding and re-fitting nearly 1m Sq Ft of retail space to their portfolio over the last three years. |
