Douglas Wallace, architects, designers and project managers, has completed work on a completely new retail concept and fit out for the new flagship Sherry Fitzgerald office in Lapps Quay, Cork city.
The stunning 5,000 sq ft retail and office space introduces a new contemporary, lifestyle orientated environment which aims to provide a twist on the stereotype of ‘estate agents’.
The design concept focuses on offering customers a friendly and modern environment while also encouraging them to remain in the outlet for longer.
To facilitate this design model in the new Sherry FitzGerald store, Douglas Wallace introduced a large curved reception desk with a branded desktop. This serves to divide the customer from the consultant while also giving physical connection through an aperture in the wall. The subtle use of colour within the reception desk and on particular wall space areas work to reinforce the strong Sherry FitzGerald brand identity.
The curved backdrop is complemented by a wall which allows displays to be exhibited in a manner which ensure ample space between viewers. These displays are subtly divided into sub-sections showcasing the numerous properties and products on offer at Sherry FitzGerald.
The finished concept also incorporates a spacious and inviting working environment for Sherry Fitzgerald employees. Office accommodation within the space is located along the Clontarf Street façade. These offices were deliberately enlarged by extensive use of glass, promoting transparency and light within this the environment.
